Murry Neal Gunty is a private investor and philanthropist based in Florida. He founded Black Bear Sports Group in 2015, a privately held sports management firm that acquires and operates ice arenas, youth sports teams, and entertainment facilities across the United States and Canada. Gunty grew up in Portland, Maine, and has played hockey since childhood.
He is also the founder of Blackstreet Capital Holdings, a private holding company. In more than thirty years as an investment professional, he has led investments in approximately forty businesses with more than one billion dollars in combined revenue, and has deployed over 1.7 billion dollars of equity and subordinated debt across more than fifty transactions.
Gunty holds an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
